Do you save dates?
We will hold a date when requested to do so for 5 consecutive days. However, if in that time another couple wants to book that date we will contact you. You then have 24 hours to decide to move forward with booking or release the date.
How many guests does the venue hold?
Barrelhouse at Zorn seats up to 200 for dinner service assuming there is a dance floor, or up to 300 for a cocktail reception. If you need a smaller space for intimate gatherings, our bridal room can be converted to a private dining area for up to 50 guests.
How long do we have the space?
A full day's rental is from 10am-12am (14 hours), except in the event of weekday events which end at 10pm. All events must be completely cleaned and the building locked at midnight. Please contact us for hourly daytime event options for baby showers, brunches, meetings, etc...
What is included in the rental fee?
By renting Barrelhouse at Zorn you are entitled to use of the building, patio, courtyard if applicable, parking lot, prep kitchen and bridal suite during your rental period as well as tables and chairs for groups of up to 200.
Can we have a ceremony in the space?
You may absolutely have a ceremony, either indoor or outdoor, at Barrelhouse at Zorn. There is a $500 fee for ceremonies and includes a conversion of the space for your reception. Alternatively, we do have a beautiful outdoor courtyard that can be used for ceremonies, however, hosts are responsible for procuring their own chairs as our chairs are indoor only.
Do you have tables and chairs?
Yes table and chairs are included in our current pricing for 2021 and 2022. With the rental of the Barrelhouse at Zorn our guests can use our custom built farmhouse tables and black chivari chairs accommodating up to 200. Please note, our table and chairs are indoor use only.
Is a rehearsal included in the rental price?
A one hour rehearsal is included during the week before your wedding.
Is the space handicap accessible?
Barrelhouse at Zorn is located on the ground floor and is ADA accessible. There are designated handicap parking spaces as well.
What are my decor options?
We do not allow nails or any other permanent changes to the space. Confetti and rice are prohibited. For specific requests please contact us.
Can I decorate the night before?
In the event that the day before your event is not booked, you may come in and decorate for an nominal fee of $100 per hour.
Is there a place where I can get ready?
Rental of the entire venue for the day includes use of a Bridal Suite throughout your event.
May I bring my own caterer?
Zorn Brew Works is the preferred caterer for the space, however, any caterer is welcome providing they are licensed, insured and sign our user agreement. We suggest a full service caterer and do require a Certificate of Insurance naming Barrelhouse at Zorn LLC as an additional insured. We encourage you to allow your vendor to view the prep kitchen so that they can best meet your needs. You may not bring your own food.
How does bar service work?
Zorn Brew Works is the exclusive liquor provider for the space. They have freshly brewed beers, domestics, wine and spirits along with licensed bar staff and glassware. Various packages are available. Tax, Service Charges, Bartender and set-up fees will not be included in alcohol pricing. No outside alcohol is permitted at Barrelhouse at Zorn.
What additional fees can I expect?
Indiana state tax of 7% will apply, along with a 3.1% convenience fee for credit card transactions. A security guard is required for parties of 50 or more when alcohol is being served. They charge $40 per hour and will be arranged through Zorn Brew Works. For weekday and hourly events a cleaning fee will apply.
What is the cancellation policy?
Once a deposit has been received we consider the date to be booked and remove it from our availability calendar. Cancellation of the event after the 5 day grace period has passed will result in forfeiture of any deposit paid.
In the event of any federal, state or local statute, ordinance or executive order, including but not limited to Covid-19, that would prevent the Host from using the space on the Event Date, the agreement will terminate and the Owner will reimburse the Host for monies paid less a $200 administrative fee.
